Birmingham, Alabama (January 2025) — The Painted Lady, a unique new boutique hotel property owned by Addicus Advisors and operated by Lark Hotels, is set to open in early 2025. Welcoming guests to experience Birmingham's colorful history in a modern yet nostalgic setting, The Painted Lady is located on the edge of downtown near the UAB Hospital, in the former Eyer-Raden building in the old automotive district. This new property will honor legendary local figure Louise Wooster in what used to be a former boarding house and brothel. The Painted Lady blends elegant charm with a tribute to the city’s resilient past.

With twenty-two curated rooms and suites, and expertly restored interiors, The Painted Lady offers a refined, immersive glimpse into Birmingham's past while embracing its vibrant future. Each room features distinguished furnishings that blend timeless architecture with modern comforts, allowing guests to be a part of the building’s rich story. As a historic property from 1895, The Painted Lady maintains its original structure, with two floors and eleven rooms each, which will be accessed only by stairs, preserving the authentic charm of the building. All rooms can accommodate a maximum of two guests, most of which feature a king bed, ideal for a couple's getaway or traveling professionals.

“Addicus is proud to bring this charming, historic gem to life and celebrate Birmingham’s rich history. The Battery district will be a must-visit destination, with a variety of retail and culinary offerings,” said Tarik Bilalbegovic, Director of Private Equity at Addicus.
